Online Master's in Cybersecurity Degree Programs in Florida

Florida is home to nine schools that offer a total of 19 online master’s in cybersecurity programs. Florida International University, Florida State University, the University of Central Florida, the University of South Florida, and the University of West Florida are all public schools that collectively offer 10 distinct online master’s programs in cybersecurity, allowing students to study areas such as information assurance and cybersecurity management, digital forensics, cyber criminology, software and system security, and more. In addition, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide, Florida Institute of Technology, Nova Southeastern University, and Saint Leo University are private institutions of higher education in the state that have online master’s in cybersecurity programs with areas of study in aviation cybersecurity, information technology, cyber defense, cybersecurity management, artificial intelligence cybersecurity, information systems and information technology, and more.

All nine schools offering online master’s programs in cybersecurity have received regional accreditation through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). In addition, all of the schools except for Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University have earned optional designations for their cybersecurity programs from the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program. NCAE-C is a federal program run by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). NCAE-C evaluates cybersecurity programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels, providing designations in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD), Cyber Research (CAE-R), and Cyber Operations (CAE-CO) to schools that meet their curricular standards.
