Online Master's in Cybersecurity Degree Programs in the Tampa Bay Area

Two schools in the Tampa Bay metropolitan area offer online master’s degree programs in the field of cybersecurity: Saint Leo University and the University of South Florida (USF). Saint Leo University, a private college with its main campus in the suburban town of St. Leo, offers a Master of Science (MS) in Cybersecurity program that can be completed fully online. USF, a public research university in Tampa that is part of the State University System of Florida, offers four different master’s programs in cybersecurity and all of these programs can be completed 100% online with no required campus visits.
Both schools are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Moreover, both universities have obtained designations from the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program. NCAE-C designations recognize schools that have aligned their curriculum with federal standards created by the National Security Agency (NSA) in collaboration with the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Saint Leo University has earned the CAE-Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designation, while USF has earned the CAE-CD and CAE-Research (CAE-R) designations.
