Online Master's in Cybersecurity Degree Programs in the Miami Fort Lauderdale Metropolitan Area

There are two schools in the Miami-Fort Lauderdale metropolitan area that offer online master’s degree programs in cybersecurity and related fields. These are Florida International University (FIU), a public research university in Miami, and Nova Southeastern University (NSU), a private research institution in Fort Lauderdale. Between these two schools, students can choose from eight different master’s level cybersecurity programs. In addition, students can explore programs with specializations in cyber defense, cybersecurity management, cybersecurity and technology policy, artificial intelligence cybersecurity, and more. All of these programs can be completed fully online without any required campus visits.

FIU and NSU are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). Further, each university has obtained designations from the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program, a joint-initiative managed by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). NCAE-C designations are awarded to schools who align their curriculum with federal standards. Both schools have received the Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) and Cybersecurity Research (CAE-R) designations.
