Online Master's in Cybersecurity Degree Programs in Vermont

Vermont is home to two schools that offer a total of seven online master’s programs in cybersecurity. Champlain College’s Division of Information Technology & Sciences has six online master of science programs in cybersecurity and related fields like digital forensics and information technology. Students can choose from programs such as Champlain College’s online Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management, online Master of Science in Cybersecurity Operations, and online Master of Science in Digital Forensic Analytics. Meanwhile, Norwich University’s College of Graduate and Continuing Studies offers an online Master of Science in Cybersecurity that also allows students to pursue graduate certificates in areas such as Cyber Basics, Computer Forensic Investigation / Incident Response Team Management, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Cybercrime, Information Warfare, Cyber Law and International Perspectives on Cyberspace, and Vulnerability Management. Both Champlain College’s and Norwich University’s programs can be completed 100% online.
Champlain College and Norwich University are private institutions of higher education that have received regional accreditation through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE). In addition, both schools have earned the Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designation for their cybersecurity programs through the National Centers of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program. NCAE-C is a federal initiative led by the National Security Agency (NSA) and the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), which is a division of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS). Prospective students should note that NCAE-C designations, which also include Cyber Research (CAE-R) and Cyber Operations (CAE-CO), are entirely optional, and therefore not all institutions of higher education with cybersecurity programs have applied for NCAE-C designations.
