Online Master's in Cybersecurity Degree Programs in New Hampshire
Updated: October 10, 2025
New Hampshire is home to two schools that offer online Master’s in Cybersecurity programs: Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU), a private university located in Manchester, and the University of New Hampshire (UNH), a public school in the city of Durham. SNHU has two online MS programs in cybersecurity. The first is a MS in Cybersecurity program, which allows for a general focus or a specialization in IT Management. The second is a MS in Information Technology with a concentration in Information Security. UNH offers a MS in Cybersecurity Policy and Risk Management (CPRM) through its College of Professional Studies. Both institutions are regionally accredited through the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).
Each school has also obtained a designation from the National Center of Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity (NCAE-C) program. The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) create educational standards for higher education programs in the field of cybersecurity. While pursuing an NCAE-C designation is optional for colleges and universities, it demonstrates that a third-party organization has reviewed their cybersecurity curricula. Both SNHU and UNH have received the NCAE-C program’s Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) designation.
